Terms of Use
Last updated: 19 October 2026.
These terms govern use of the SULTAN GRILL website. The site describes the grill, the dining room, the hours and how a table is requested. It is not an online shop, not a delivery app, and not a place where a meal can be paid for. The restaurant has one dining room. The street address and the telephone are printed on the contact page and in the footer, and they are not repeated here. Questions about these terms can go to [email protected] . By reading the pages you accept that the information is a guide to be checked with the house, that a message is not a booking until the house confirms it, and that the menu in the room governs an order. If you do not accept that, do not rely on the pages to plan a visit. You may still eat at the restaurant. These terms are about the website. They are not a membership, not a gift card, and not a set of house rules posted over the door. Those rules, where they bind a guest, are the ones given in the room: the price on the menu, the allergy you declared, the table you were shown. The pages exist so you can arrive already knowing the difference between a skewer plate, a kebab, a doner and a shared grill, and already knowing that a large party should ask first. They do their job when the conversation in the room is shorter, not when they try to replace it. Keep that limit in mind when you read a confident sentence. The site can tell you that shashlik is cubed meat on a skewer, that kebab is minced, that doner comes off a spit, and that a shared table needs more notice than a plate for two. It can tell you the door is open from noon to eleven. It cannot tell you, on this page, whether the lamb you want is still there at the hour you have in mind. That last fact lives with the house, on the day. Using the site well means letting it do the first job and letting the contact page do the second, instead of asking either one to do both.
Use of the information
- Hours, the fire menu and table availability change with the service. The door is open every day from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but a cut can sell through, the spit can finish, and after 9:30 PM the board is often shorter. Confirm what you are counting on with the house before you travel, using the telephone or the email on the contact page.
- A telephone call or an email is a request. A table is held only when the house confirms the day, the hour and the number of guests. An automatic reply, a sent folder, or a page you have read are not confirmation. Do not invite other people to a held table you do not yet have.
- The site does not take payment, does not store a card, does not create an account, and does not complete a booking by itself. There is no basket and no "pay now" button. Money changes hands in the dining room, against the menu you are shown before you order.
- Photographs show plates from the kitchen: shashlik, kebabs, doner, lavash, salads, grilled bread. They are there so you can see the style. They do not promise that every item in a picture is on the fire at the hour you arrive, and they are not a nutritional or allergen certificate.
- To release or move a confirmed table, use the same telephone or email you used to ask for it. Do it as early as you can, so the room can be offered to someone else. A late cancellation on a full evening is still accepted. It is simply less useful to the next table. The house may decline a later request from a party that repeatedly confirms and does not come.
Prices and the meal
Meals are ordered and paid at the restaurant, not on this website. Consumer prices are shown on the menu in the dining room in Chilean pesos, with IVA included, before you order. That display is what Law No. 19.496 requires of the house: the price has to be knowable before the contract is made, and for a meal the contract is made when you order, not when you read a paragraph. A description on this website is a guide to the style of plate. It is not an offer you can accept by clicking. If a page and the menu in the room ever differ, the menu in the room and the price told to you before the order are the ones that apply. We will correct the page when the difference is pointed out. Until that correction is up, do not treat the website as the till. A shared grill described here as "several cuts, bread and the cold salads" may, on a given night, be lamb, chicken and a kebab, or it may be whatever the fire still has. The description is the pattern. The menu in your hand is the instance. Law No. 19.496 cares about the instance, because that is what you agree to buy. Quoting this page back at the table as if it were a fixed tariff will not change the menu. Pointing out that the page has become misleading will change the page.
The kitchen handles meat — lamb, chicken and beef on the skewers, minced kebab, and doner from the spit — and it handles wheat in the bread and the lavash, and it may handle dairy and sesame in sauces, breads and dressings. Tell the house about an allergy or a strict dislike before you order, not after the plate is dressed. We do not describe the kitchen as free of any allergen. A grill, a bakery bread and a shared salad counter share air and boards. We do not claim a certification, a halal mark, or a medical diet that is not posted in the room. If a certification is later posted, the notice in the room is the one to trust. Wine and other drinks, where they are served, are listed on the same menu and are served only within the Chilean rules on alcohol.
House rules
Guests are asked to keep the room usable for the next table: plates finished, coats off the neighbouring chairs, children supervised by the adults who brought them. A party of more than four should speak to the house before travelling, because the shared grill and the room both have a physical limit at peak hour. Walk-ins of one or two are the ordinary way to eat at lunch. The house may refuse service where Chilean law allows, including when a guest is abusive to staff or to other tables, or is too drunk to be served. That refusal is a house decision made in the room. It is not something this website administers. Smoking follows the rules that apply to a dining room. The website will not argue a refusal that was made face to face.
The website
You may read these pages for your own information about the restaurant, and you may share a link to them. You may not copy the text, the logo or the photographs onto another commercial site, scrape the pages to build a directory, mirror the site, or try to interfere with the host. A personal note to a friend that quotes a sentence and links here is fine. Lifting the menu descriptions into another restaurant's page is not. The name SULTAN GRILL, the crest, and the photographs are owned by the restaurant or used with permission. Nothing in the layout grants a licence to reuse them. If you believe a photograph or a line should not be here, write to the email on the contact page and say which page and why.
The site is a public information page. We work to keep it available and accurate, and we correct mistakes that are reported to the house, including a price description that has drifted from the menu in the room, an hour that has changed, or a plate that is no longer cooked. We do not promise that the site will be free of interruption, that every browser will render it the same way, or that a third-party map will place the pin on the right door. The address to trust is the one printed on the contact page and in the footer, not a pin someone else drew.
Consumer rights
Nothing on this page removes a right that Law No. 19.496 does not allow a restaurant to waive. If a clause conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, that right prevails and the clause is read down to what the law still allows. Complaints about a meal, a charge, or the information given before an order can be sent to the house. You may also go to SERNAC. Writing to us first is useful. It is not a condition the law imposes before you can complain. A charge is explained from the menu you were shown and from what was actually served. A website paragraph is not the bill.
Liability for use of the website, where the law allows a limit at all, is limited to direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable from relying on a page. We are not liable for a decision you made from a page you did not check with the house, for traffic, for a full car park, for a third-party map, or for a plan that treated an unanswered email as a confirmed table. We are liable for what the law says a restaurant is liable for once you are in the room and have ordered: the meal, the price you were told, and the care the house owes a guest. Those duties are not reduced by a sentence on a website. This limit is about the pages, not about the plate in front of you.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. The courts of Santiago have jurisdiction, because that is where the restaurant's disputes over the website belong, without prejudice to any forum that consumer law gives you and that cannot be changed by a contract or by a paragraph on a page. If Law No. 19.496 sends a consumer dispute to a different court or to SERNAC, that route stays open. A choice of law is not a waiver. The Spanish or other language of a conversation in the dining room does not change the language of these terms. The terms you are reading are the English text published on this site.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to [email protected] . The telephone and the postal address are on the contact page and in the footer. Say that the message is about the terms, not about a table, if you want it read that way. SULTAN GRILL is the name of the restaurant responsible for this website. We will reply in the ordinary course, normally within one business day, and sooner when the message is only a correction to an hour or a description.
